Who Are We?
Makers is a student-run club at the University of Western Australia. As a club, we aim to help students develop technical skills and create amazing projects.
You can find us down at the Makers Lab, in the UWA Civil & Mechanical Engineering Building, where we provide space, equipment, and training on how to use our tools for everyone at UWA.

What Will You Find At Makers?
3D Printers
Makers is equipped with a variety of 3D printers, perfect for prototyping or building projects for your units. Our lineup includes a Prusa MK4 and two Prusa MK3S printers.
Workshop Equipment
Down at the Makers Lab, you can find a variety of workshop tools, from basic hand tools, power tools and workbenches to higher-risk equipment like our drill press and disc sander.
Laser Cutter
Makers has a CO2 Laser Cutter, with a 900mm x 600mm build volume, capable of cutting thin sheets of MDF, Plywood or Acrylic.
CNC Machine
At the Makers lab, the Tormach P770 enhances your metal working capabilities with industrial precision and possibilities.
Soldering Stations
Makers boasts six HAKKO FX-888D soldering irons, as well as a variety of electrical test equipment, suitable for all projects.
Electrical Components
Makers has a large stock of electrical components that range from free to take in reasonable amounts to borrow-only.
